Black Clock

Singular, idiosyncratic and a little mysterious, Black Clock is one of America’s leading literary journals.  Since its inception in 2004, the publication has featured work (by Don DeLillo, Richard Powers, Joanna Scott, Jonathan Lethem, Lynne Tillman, Rick Moody, Samuel R. Delany, Aimee Bender, Joseph McElroy, Brian Evenson, Susan Straight, Geoff Nicholson,  David L. Ulin, Shelley Jackson, David Foster Wallace, William T. Vollmann and many others) that has gone on to be anthologized in best-of-the-year collections, nominated for O. Henry and Pushcart Prizes, and win National Book Awards.  Black Clock is also regarded as among the country’s most beautifully designed magazines.  Edited by Steve Erickson, it’s published semi-annually by the California Institute of the Arts in association with the MFA Writing Program.
