Easily one of the most well-rounded members of Minneapolis-based hip-hop collective, Doomtree, Dessa first made a name for herself in the world of poetry slam, which would eventually introduce her to the musical scene that made her a critical and popular darling in the Twin Cities scene. This fearless Midwesterner has stayed strong in the game, coming off of her most recent release, Parts of Speech, earlier in 2013.
